Human Resources Development Canada
January 2002 - December 2002

Employed as a Micro Support Specialist with Human
Resources Development Canada in Hull, Quebec.

Performed system administration duties under a Banyan
VINES Network. Duties included managing user accounts, 
security auditing, and supporting client software such as 
Beyond Mail, Server Scan Master, and Street Talk Explorer.

Member of the EPB Windows 2000 implementation team that 
planned a department wide upgrade of company workstations 
from the Windows 9x operating system to Windows 2000 
professional platform.

Member of the HRS Microsoft Office XP deployment team 
that planned and upgraded all computer workstations from 
Office 97 to Office XP.

Utilized diagnostic tools such as a Network Multimeter, 
which tests LAN drops, diagnoses network topologies and 
protocols, and measures data signal loss.

Participated in a Microsoft Outlook pilot project as an 
application tester.

Employed as a Desktop Support Technician with the
eBusiness Delivery team of xwave in St. John’s, 
Newfoundland.

Provided technical support of business software packages 
including Oracle 9i, Lotus R5, Adobe Photoshop, and 
Microsoft Visual Studio under the Microsoft Windows 
9x/NT/2000 environments.

Installed computer hardware including hard drives, 
memory, motherboards, CPU’s, and CD-ROM in computer

April 1999 – June 2000

Employed as a Radio Operator for 728 Communications
Squadron in St. John’s Newfoundland.

Participated in various military training drills and team

Completed occupational health and safety courses such as 
Emergency First Aid, WHMIS, and fire safety training.

Assigned to update squadron’s inventory files from paper 
documentation to a Microsoft Access database.


CHMR Radio
December 1994 - May 1998       

Volunteered as a disk jockey for Memorial University’s 
campus radio station.

Hosted a weekly radio program where I selected and played 
music of all genres.

weather, and sports segments.
